    Hi all,

Just wondering is there much of a difference between Volume 2 and Volume 3 of the RSA-issued booklets and cd-rom for practicing and studying for the theory test?

I have Volume 2 and have been suing it the last few weeks but have since learned that from Sept 1 the test will be based on Volume 3 of the booklet/cd-rom and my test is Sept 9!!!

Any ideas guys? I don't really want to go shelling out another €18 or €19...

If you want to be on the safe side then buy Volume 3.

I'm pretty sure volume 3 only has new stuff in the bus section.

    Presumably you mean "edition"?

Yeah "edition" is what I meant. I rang the test centre about this and he girl told me that there wasn't really anything new in the car and bike section so 'delighted' is right I'd say.

Thanks for the replies though guys.

Anyone know if there are any changes in the truck section? Was thinking about doing that test soon.

The woman on the phone told me there are changes to the bus section but I don't know about the truck one...

Anyone able to tell me if there is much of a difference between the 1st edition and the 2nd/3rd edition books? Found the 1st one lying around the house but am aware this may not be sufficient for passing my upcoming driver theory test? Has the course changed substantially over the time period?

Any info would be much appreciated.

I'd recommend getting the newest edition. I failed my Theory test twice by being arrogant enough to think I'd do fine on studying the 1st edition alone. However having said that I passed on my 3rd attempt without looking at new editions, but that was purely the luck of the questions that came up.
