Wiring/earth issues

Guys, working on an M4 which is wrecking my head...

blowing fuses (well, 4 so far), so opened.

Thought it was the stupid body construction which might be pushing against the piston after tightening the body pins (couldnt split the receiver!).

Sorted all that out, reassembled and it seemed to be fine except stuck in a fuse (only one I had left was a 5A) and it fried within a shot or two.

While removing the fuse; the + battery wire hit the body and the AEG fired full auto:eek: (- was connected)

Put it on safe and touched the body with the + wire again and it fired (full auto) again. Touch any part of the body and it fires...

    Methinks I have a short somewhere (:o)

    or is this normal...

    Bogged down Bogger:)

yeah defo a wire clamped somewhere aidan, most likely in the pistol grip or possibly the stock if its wired to the back, its common enough for them to short where the stock tube goes on., :)

    Cool, thanks a million Rich.

It's just a stock M4A1, no special wiring or adjustments - but it just started throwing fuses. KWA...

Richie, really appreciate your advice and help.
    Thanks.;)
