French-speaking jobs in Dublin

    Hi guys,

Spent the evening applying for some French-speaking jobs for my gf, and was wondering if anyone knew of any good agencies who deal with "foreign-language jobs" etc...

She speaks fluent English but would prefer something in a CSR type environment, preferably speaking French. Does anyone have any experience of finding a job for a French speaker? Or are there any French speakers on Boards.ie with any suggestions?

    All input greatly appreciated!

    Mark.

Would she be interested in tech support?

Seriously- what you are suggesting is a call centre type job.
There are companies such as Clientlogic in Swords (and a few others) who do outsourced customer service and tech support on behalf of a range of clients. I worked in the industry for a while- personally I found it soul destroying- but it suits some people. I'd be more inclined to approach the likes of CL directly than through one of the agencies they use (they do their own interviews and technical testing anyhow- and in the current climate, going directly means you cut out the middle man). If you (or your girlfriend) have multiple languages- make the most of it- its a massive selling point.

I've only heard horror stories about working at Client Logic. There are some decent places to work in this area though - try having a look on the jobsites under call centre/customer service and see where is hiring now, then run some searches on here to find some honest opinions!

If your gf is a gamer then what about GOA? They're hiring people at the moment for CS on Warhammer. I know a few people there and the pay and benefits are pretty good. The ads are up on monster if you're interested.

Hertz in Swords are always looking for French speaking customer service reps. Also maybe check out Ebay & Paypal.

  • Tourism Ireland? Based in Conduit in East Point business park. Pay is something like 10 euro an hour plus a bit more depending on how many languages you do. I think you need more than just French though, if you're not a native English speaker. It's a lot nicer job than tech support or car rental, imo.
