Help!!
Has anyone experience of this box locking up on a specific satellite channel!
In my case this lock-up occurs with BBC-Parliament Channel on 28.28E, with result that I must unplug the power cable, before I can move through the saved favourite channels, as the zapper has no control whatsoever.
To make things worse I moved the offending channel to No 1 on the favourites list, being unaware that this is the first channel to open after plugging the power back in, I am now stuck on it, and cannot move off it!
I cannot even use the menu or any other button!
All suggestions welcome.

Try unplugging the cable from the dish before turning it on, then you can delete the channel.

Nothing wrong wit hthe silvercrest boes, have had many of them over the years and had no hassle with them.

To change the start-up channel, or not use this function at all (on next boot, will start with last channel used), press "Menu" on remote, go to System Setup>Channel Setup>Startup Channel, then edit as appropriate.

I've seen the system lock-up before, but usually only if I select a HD channel. I don't have BBC Parliament saved, so don't know if it's something to expect with this channel. I know the box (like lots of electronic equipment) can throw "wobblies" if you try to do stuff too quickly, like changing channels too quickly, or if the channel lists are quite full. Have you lots of channels scanned in, including radio channels?

I had the same problem with a friends box so I assumed that although is appeared in the channel list as BBC Parliament it was actually BBC HD. BBC have changed around a few transponders lately and this was an old channel list that had not been updated since the box was new. I just deleted it and when I scanned again on the same transponder BBC HD was there but no sign of BBC Parliament. I did not delve any deeper than that. The older lidl box the SL55 also always locked up in the same way when it went on to a HD channel.
