The Hesh had a very good 3rd in a good field in Gateshead today.

    1 - Tyson Gay 20.26
    2 - Wallace Spearmon 20.41
    3 - HESH 20.61

Malcolm, Christian, Collins, Devonish and Dzingai in his wake.

5th off the bend he powered through in the last 50 to snatch 3rd.

Gillick was 4th in the 400 but only in 46.28. Went out hard but lost touch between 180-320 and had too much to do.

Hesh off to Lausanne for Tuesday and qualification for the World Athletics Final in Stuttgart is looking good. This will have the top 8 in the world from each event.

I always wonder how on earth there can be such a difference in performances in the space of a week or two?! The Hesh must be wondering whats goin on with these guys.Hope he makes thle World athletics final.Do we have anyone else in the running,ie.McGettigan?

I think its becoming evident that Gillick overtrained!!!

McGettigan is in a slot at the moment, as is Gillick and Cragg in the 3k.

Hesh 5th in Lausanne in 20.65 - Bolt won in 19.63 while Powell won the 100 in 9.72 and looked amazing. He just doesn't have it for the majors.

wow 9.72 that WR is not so safe at all... Would be nice to see him break it and see how bolt reacts.

Powells run. Fast forward to the 5m mark and the sideon shot will show how fast these guys go - it'll look like you have on fast forward.

Bolts run. Pretty savage into a -0.9. Hesh had better bend than Gateshead it seems but didn't come through as strong. Its funny, links to clips of the fastest man alive and a lad from Athenry is in his race.
