    Hi All,
I bought a Cannon PowerShot A570IS (point and shoot digital camera) less than a year ago. I've never taken it apart, but for the past 6 mos, every picture I take has a series of transparent spots. I've tried cleaning the lens with a microfiber cloth, and I cannot see any spots on the lens.

I can see these spots on the viewfinder, anytime it's pointed at a bright background. The spots are always in the same place, and seem to have gotten worse over time.

I've attached one example, but I have many. (NOTE: the attached example is from a boat, on the ocean. However, this did not start that day, it started months earlier, so it's not a "splash" from the water)

Does anybody know how to get rid of these?

    Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I think you should email canon and ask for a repair it seems like a dirty sensor

I had an old Ixus with much the same problem. As the poster above says, sounds like a problem with the sensor, should be covered under warranty. Mine was an old ex-demo, so I had to get a new un.
