My HD seems to be losing memory pretty fast, until i re-start it. Is this normal? I had 6GB when i re-started last time, now it only has 5.09, all i've been using was firefox.

It's probably just your swap file. i.e. virtual memory is filling up, it can take up quite a lot of space. How much RAM do you have?

Open up Activity Monitor (on the "system memory" tab) to see how many page outs you're getting and how big the swap file is.

I'd also recommend you verify/repair your hd using Disk Utility just to be sure there's no problem there.
