Anyone got any tips for removing a well screwed in battery grip?

    Where's it being awkward?

Will the screw on it not budge at all? It could quite easily be grit after getting into it. If you're desperate, a squirt of oil might do the trick, if you can get it in far enough.

just dont use oil thats contuctive, :)

If its like the nikon ones with the cog-looking kind of locking screw, you could tap it gently with something flat, to rotate it.,

Yeah the wheel wouldn't turn at all.

I've managed to get it off by putting socks over my hands for some extra grip!

This happened to me last week - I think we just get real excited about having the grip and screw it on tighter than necessary.

Try leaving the camera out in the boot of the car over a cold night. This might help break the bind when the metal contracts. Other than that you can lightly tap the cog on either side. I don't think you will be able to get enough oil in to the screw to help.

Don't use oil but WD40. And very carefuly not to spray it anywhere else on the camera.

Get one of those training springs for your hand, build up that grip:D
