Watched "Gone Baby Gone" last night and was pleasantly surprised.
Thought the acting was very good, in particular Casey Affleck. Good cast overall actually.

I thought the twists in the plot were well thought out although a little unbelievable.

I saw it in the cinema and i have to say i thought the twists are both unbelievable and predictable. And the last twist ruined it

Firstly, i definitely agree that Casey Affleck was very good in it. Ben Affleck also surprised me as a director.. i really thought he was braindead and that Good Will Hunting was just a fluke. But alas he has some talent.

I dont think you can say the last twist ruined it.. it was still an enjoyable film. Why did it ruin it? its not the sort of twist you see in all films i thought it was good..although i did see it coming too

Only just got around to watching this tonight. It was okay. Ben Affleck's direction was a little rough around the edges but Casey Affleck gave a brilliant performance I thought. Monaghan's character was mostly pointless and made no sense to me, seemed like she was just shoehorned in there. The twist was definitely contrived as hell but interesting as a morality play.

Whatever about the twist being a little OTT but i did like the whole moral implications of it like
the fact that the mother didn't change
CA was very good in it and I'm not a fan of his but have nothing against him at the same time. BA direction was impressive and i'm ashamed to say i more often then not do like his movies as an actor (the obvious exceptions excluded).

I watched this last night and was taken back at how good it was. I think Monaghans character was actually an important part,
throughout the movie she asked Affleck to not do something he went against her wishes. His character mirrored the mothers in that he didn't change either

I just think that the last twist wraped it all up a little bit to nicely. I do think films should have to end without loose ends and it was looking like it wouldn't up until that point.

Seen it on TV last night RTE one

had great potentiatal first half very good
acting/Cast/writing really great gave a good idea of working class boston
    love the accent's
The twists at the end and the last half an hour ruined it.
They made no sense with a more realistic ending it would have been good

    just looking at wiki

it won a ton of awards and critic top ten lists

The film appeared on 65 critics' top ten lists of the best films of 2007.[9][10]
