Who else is doing Science Ed.?

    Introduce yourself :P

Glenn here, starting Science Education course and living at home (out in Tallaght) so it'll be a luas and bus job each morning... I'll be the guy falling asleep into the metro newspaper, the one NOT blaring my iPod and the one who will wake very quickly when I realise I've left my bag in the kitchen...

Unless it's changed since my time, you'll be doing education during the time of biology practicals. So you'll do your BE101 Lab module in 2nd year - albeit with 1st years.

Good luck with science ed. Listen to PVK... You'll understand!

All science courses in 1st year are pretty similar. It will be a broad range of subjects taught, physics/biology/chemistry.By all accounts if you;ve done those subjects at leaving cert higher level you'll be fine. Slightly more difficult than leaving cert level of course but not by much.

Science ed really comes into its own when you get to teach. 1st-3rd years are pretty much immature, ignorant snotty little bástards, real assholes. The upside are the 5th-6th years. You'll get some real peaches. I didnt last long though. Something about sexual misconduct but if you ask me she should of been the one suspended. I moved over to analytical science instead.

    enjoy
