    Hi y'all!

    Can anyone recommend anything to do it Leitrim?? We're (3 girls) staying in Ballinamore and are wondering what's there to do around?? It'll be a saturday night.

    Most interested in some kind of nightlife:pac:..... Is there any in Ballinamore or should we get a taxi somewhere and back??

    you have basically two choices for a saturday night there in terms of clubbing
    1.stay in ballinamore and go to freddies nightclub which is part of the Commercial and Tourist hotel in the middle of town on the main street, you can't miss it.
    OR
    2.hop on the one of the buses that leave for carrick-on-shannon from about 11pm onwards (from outside some of the main bars), they used to go to passion nightclub which was a great spot (not sure if it is still open though), cost is €10 return on the bus

    plenty of good bars in ballinamore to keep ye occupied though, some of them stay open late. Bobby Jo's right across from the Commercial and Tourist hotel is a very popular spot especially among the younger crowd. The Poor Scholar, Priors and Shortts Heritage Bar are all well worth a look. Jackies at the bottom of town has traditional music most nights.

    Stay around town....It's better craic....

    Theres plenty to be seen in Freddies when everyone is BANANA'S...

    When are you staying in ballinamore?
