Magnet TV Recorder?

    Hello,

We've got Magnet in our apartment and as far as I know, they don't have any sort of TV recording box like Sky Plus. I was thinking of buying one of those DVD recorders with a hard disk drive. Does anyone know if they work with Magnet? The Magnet box I have (for changing channels) is connected to the TV via a Scart cable.

I was thinking of buying one in Argos but a lot of them seem to come with Freeview which I know is only available in the north and the UK so I don't know if that would mess up things here.

Yes they will work, but not very well.

The biggest problem you will have is getting the recorder to change the channel on the Magnet box and tape the channel at the time you want.

A better solution (but a lot more expensive) would be to use a Vista Media Center PC, which can work like Sky+.
