Tbh I didn't cos I totally sympathised with the soccer poster's. They hadn't a clue why we were posting in there. Maybe because they weren't informed?

In all fairness though, I can't see why Gaa poster's can't request tickets or request a ticket swap in the Gaa forum! Maybe a a thread that is in line with Boards.ie rules could be created in the Gaa forum!
    Just a thought?...................

I see nothing wrong with how it works right now. Also I think the Soccer Mods are very approachable if done in the right way. However Ill discuss with the lads and get back to you.

Thanks Alan for your reply. Please don't get me wrong, the soccer mods imo are v. approachable and I for one can't fault them!

However my point is why have we to go to to the soccer forum in search of Gaa ticket's?

I've absolutely no problem with the soccer forum but surely we should be allowed request tickets for, or a swap for Gaa tickets in the Gaa forum?

There are always indirect requests for tickets in here with the complaints that people can't get a ticket kind of thread. Some of us that know each other keep in contact outside the forum and try and organise tickets that way. The occasional PM gets sent around too. So there is plenty going on under the surface. That's not to say that we always get sorted, so I don't think we want to have people been flooded with PMs almost to the point of spamming. That's the only danger. If threads start going up, we'd be overrun with them.

Even in recent weeks a few people got reminded about posting requests not being allowed. Especially when it comes to finals, even those in the know find it hard enough to get tickets, and if they did get spares there would be people much higher up on their lists to look after than people posting in here. So requests for final tickets, especially by people who've never posted here, are unlikely to result in success. While we may all have sympathy, I don't think there is much point in them posting All-Ireland final ticket requests. They'd have no more success here than posting in absolutely any forum on Boards.
