Help! iPod Touch update problem

    Hi,
I'm just after buying and downloading the 2.0 update for the iPod Touch but have encountered a problem. For some reason when it was doing its thing and putting it on it stopped in recovery mode. It's in recovery mode now and says I will have to restore before I do anything else. Now, I've restored before and lost my January apps - if I recover now will I loose the update I just payed for? How do I avoid this?
Thanks in advance to anybody who can help me out (I'm getting worried ha!).

I think the same happened to me. To see if you have the software update on your computer, search iPod 2.0.2. If you find it, you can put it on your iPod without a problem.

Hmnn I was updating to the latest firmware last night and iTunes told me that the iPod needed to go into restore mode. I did this but the fecker kept crashing out and wouldn't restore properly. About two hours later and many retries I found a solution to the problem, it worked and it was updated.

Dunno if that helps you or not OP.
