Its the choice ive been given by my workplace. I like the build of the Lenovo T61p, and am not fond of the look of the dell but the dell has a slightly better Processor. it has the T9300 2.5 Ghz vs T7500 2.2 Ghz

the lenovo has a 160gb 7200 hard disk though.

which would you go for and why?

    Thinkpad >> Latitude... always.

Have an 8 year old one from the IBM days... and the damn thing is still going. Had the displeasure of using one of the more recent Latitude models... not the newest ones, but new enough that's they're still unboxing one or two in the job... And I hated it. They replaced the old Thinkpads a few years ago... and people are still pining for the Thinkpads...

There was a rush on them a while back when they were finally being dumpstered.
