Just wondering if anyone knows what the score is with moving in day on campus?

As far as I know its Wednesday October 1st, although this is halfway through freshers week which starts on Monday the 29th of September. Does this mean we can't move in until Wednesday night, or can we just arrive on the Monday of freshers week??

I know there is something about early arrival, but I'm not sure if this counts?

    Thanks!

You can't move in until Wednesday of Fresher's week unless you apply for early accomodation. I don't think its that difficult to get, just say sunday is the only time you can get up or something along those lines and you should be fine.

Cheers dude, Does this require paying anything extra???

I'd like to be in there cause I've a freshers stall to run!

Yeah, there is a nightly rate for moving in early (or for leaving late). Something like €17-€20 a night or so I think.

The early accommodation form had to be submitted by the 17th July... I applied to move in on Sunday 28th, and I got the confirmation email last week. Depending on whether you're in a modern or a standard room you have an extra charge per day

Deadlines vary depending on your situation - postgrads and freshers wouldn't have their accomodation even given to them by 17th July. Even if it is the case that the deadline for him was then, I have submitted wildly late applications for extending my stay in June and its never been a problem so its still worth a shot.

Mention that when you're applying - my excuse for moving in early was running the Ultimate Frisbee stand and storing our FW gear. Iirc you're the captain of the American Football team, right? That should basically guarantee you early entry, as long as you're appropriately penitent when you write to the Junior Dean.
