Nope, sold as triple packs to discourage the fairweather fans.

Leinster have around 10k ST's as well.

Yeah they'll be in limited supply alright. You can get them off the Leinster site, but after the season ticket holders and Munster allocation get their portion, there wont be many on public sale closer to game time. (although still available).

AFAIK the triple pack goes from about €70 for 3 games in North/South stand. The other 2 games are good too though, Ospreys the EDF energy cup champions and Edinburgh which is always a bit of a grudge match as they're the bogie team, and also a dress rehersal for our Heineken Cup encounter later in the season, so should be well contested with both teams looking to draw first blood.

You should consider all 3. They'll be good games, with the first leg of the ML showcase event of the season thrown in for good measure.

    Well said!

Bear in mind that the Leinster clubs have also availed of the "Six Packs" this season - i.e. a pack that has tickets for the three interpros and three home HEC games.
Throw those into the mix with 10,000 season tickets, the 20-25% the Munster Branch are entitled to, the packs combined with the Ospreys and Edinburgh and I'd say there will only be a tiny portion of tickets, if any, available for sale for the Munster match alone.

    Jackass,

I watch most Friday night games, but I work til 8 on most Fridays so heading to the Ospreys/Edinburgh games aren't options. Plus, being honest I'm a turncoat supporter, so more of a Munster man anyway (prepares for wrath :) )

:) Ah well that's fair enough. Unlikely you'll get a ticket it that case though.

Your best bet would probably be to try around the ground in Cullens and the likes on the day to see if you could get one. If not, at least there are plenty of pubs to sit in and drown your sorrows while watching a good game of rugby on the TV and get to soak up a bit of the atmosphere before / after.

Sunday match though means that not half the people will be in the pubs as usual, so it's not helping your cause either.

Yeah It's a Sunday evening game, and it's a guaranteed full house.

Get the triple pack, and pass on the other 2 tickets to friends, I'm sure someone will be glad to see some live rugby.

It's good to see Munster fans investing in Leinster, at the home game last season - most of the season ticket holders beside me showed up in red :)

As I recall the game "didn't matter" to the Munsters I spoke to.

You obviously didn't speak to very many then. Most fans that I know, it matters a lot to.

Ah it'll be a big enough game alright.

If Leinster win, since "Black Sunday" that'll be 4 wins from 5 against Munster which wont sit well with the Munster faithfull. I'd say the team will be fired up for this clash. Should be a good one.

A little off topic but anybody have Leinster Season tickets yet?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,193 ✭✭✭[Jackass]

Nope. They were posted on Friday and today supposedly, so you should have them latest the end of this week. They're shipping 10,000 of them, but don't panic, it'll be here in plenty of time for when you need them. :) I'm wondering what the supporter gift will be this year? Highlights package DVD of last season would be nice.

Can season tickets still be bought?
Just checked ticketmaster and says can't be bought online. Can they still be bought directly?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,987 ✭✭✭✭zAbbo

Over 10,000 ST's is pushing the limit with a 18,000 stadium.

I'm not sure if it's still possible to buy them now, maybe contact the branch, or Spar in Donnybrook.

    Hi Guys,

Would anyone know of any away games I can grab 2 tickets? Boyfriend's birthday comming up and I know he'd really love to go to an away game.

    Can anyone help??!! Cheers :)

Go to some of the sports travel websites and try get a package for one of the away 6 Nations games. They're on next Spring though. I presume you mean Ireland rather than Leinster tickets.

:pac: Don't look for much, do you? The sheer cost of producing such a DVD would make it unfeasible to be a "free"gift.

What was on that dvd last year? Interviews and Toulouse?

    *searches*

    How about both Munster matches?

Ah well we had some great games in the league, plus some great games in HEC at home anyway, good wins over Tolouse, Edinburgh and Leicester.

Plus home and away victorys over Munster and bags and bags of tries along the way. It's not too shabby ;)

Yeah if you create an account with Leinster Rugby on that link to ticket master you can buy season tickets and Triple pack.

Incidently, can anyone buy tickets for just the Ospreys and Edinburgh games on their accounts yet? I think they were being released as a double pack but can't get them (not that I was going to buy extra, just Ive had problems with my advance ticketing all the time trying to get them to sort it out. Just don't want to miss out on one or two away games this year and if/when HEC quater final tickets. ;))

    In the bag:

-1 book of season tickets (pretty cool pics of previous players on each ticket, e.g. Hickie is wearing my favourite jersey on Heineken No. 3 )

    - 1 severly crumbled poster of the team with the Magners League cup.

    - 1 scarf (colourful)

    - 1 €15 euro discount for Emerald Rugby Magazine.

    - 1 buy a main course at Captain Americas get one free voucher.

    - 1 buy a main meal at wagamama get one free voucher.

Also one membership card with no name or membership number.

which is the Anglesea Rd stand and which is the Grandstand in the RDS? Is the Grandstand the one facing west? Or Vice versa?

the old looking stand that the cameras look to in a TV stand is the Anglesea Stand where the coach and co are.
The grandstand is the uncovered stand that the general view match cameras are situated over.

Grandstand should be covered this season as was promised to us grandstand season ticketholders last year! But as said, grandstand is the temporary seating, anglesea is the old permanent stand

Got 4 triple pack tickets today, good grandstand tickets apparently, so they're stil out there.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 620 ✭✭✭NotWormBoy

Anyone got any idea where the ticket office at the RDS is where you pick up Leinster tickets - is it on Anglesea Road?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,506 ✭✭✭Jackz

Ticketmaster have a van usually parked inside Gate C of the RDS in front of Industries Hall on Anglesea Road. The gate is closer to Paddy Cullens etc than the gate for the Anglesea stand and isn't an entrance to the "Rugby Area" .

You can see Gate C marked on this map (You need acrobat installed) : Map

Looks like tickets are sold out. Article on leinsterrugby.ie says:

"Tickets for Leinster's next home Magners League clash against Munster in the RDS on Sunday, 28th September (KO: 7pm) have SOLD OUT amidst huge interest..." :(

You might get a sneaky one from Spar in Donnybrook but they're pretty much gone now.
