Good party games

I only seem to play the Wii when others are around. I got Mario galaxy but wasn't too impressed. I'm not saying it's a bad game (My nephews addicted to it) it's just not for me, I've always hated Mario since as far back as the snes.

The same goes for Mario Kart great craic in multiplayer but frustrating and limited in 1 player.

I only seem to play the Wii now when I have friends over or I've brought it to a friends house. So I'm looking for good party games, good for a laugh.

I have to suggest Boom Blox. Its Jenga on steroids, with loads of different game modes and its great fun with a group (solid single player campaign too). Look up youtube for some gameplay videos.

It threatened to derail a home poker game a few months back (we started playing Boom Blox before the game while waiting for some people to show up, and had trouble stopping)

Can't go wrong with Guitar Hero 3 either!
...or multiplayer Geometry Wars, Boom Blox, Mario and Sonic at the Olympics and try out the Wii-Ware downloadable TV Show King - lot's of laughs for when everyone is too drunk to jump around.

I love playing Mario Kart with my g/f, I'm trying to get my hands on another wiimote so we can play 4 player with my sis and her b/f can't wait!!

Wii Sports and Wii Fit are great group games. Nothing funnier than two lads jogging furiously on the spot trying to beat each other......
