I had been unemployed for the past 4 months & have now found a job, I phoned the tax office to inform them & request a new tax credit certificate... etc

I received it today but there is a tax credit reduction (DFSA Unemployment Benefit) of circa Euro 500 & a Standard Rate band reduction of circa EUR 2500. I was on the dole for 3 of the past 4 months (after waiting 1 month only to not find a job before signing on)

Can anyone tell me why the tax office would reduce my tax credits & standard rate band allowances... ???

I am earning a lot less than my previous job which means i've dropped tax bands etc.... I told the dole office the day before I started my job that I was working.... no other payment were received form then since... So I'm lost as to why I am getting less entitlements when it comes to my tax credits....
