customising laptop keys

I got a new laptop this week (acer aspire 5920 for reference) and it has a lot of extra keys on it, one of which I keep hitting and it opens a cd ripping programme or something. (The key in question is below the media player ones). Is it possible to change the keyboard setting so that this doesn't happen any more? Thanks.
