The stock EBR is over 1J. Unless you get it downgraded at source (not sure if RSOV provide that service anymore), you cannot import any airsoft device that fires over 1J. It is illegal, and that in itself should stop you from buying it. It will most likely be stopped at customs, with a high likelihood of it being sent for testing with the Gardaí. Any device seen to be firing over 1J will be destroyed by the Garda ballistics department.

You can get an EBR through Irish retailers with the assurance that it will be 1J when you receive it.

Incidentally, the 1J law applies to every item, not just one's you're going to skirmish with. Why would you not skirmish it if you're looking to get into airsoft anyway? It's a bit on the OTT side for target shooting.

You need to have it downgraded,(rsov dont do downgrades though)
it may or may not be seized, but if its seized and tested and found to be hot it will be destroyed,

    www.gunnerairsoft.com do downgrades i think, also www.wgcshop.com,

discussion of importing over the limit guns on boards is against the forum charter, just a heads up!
