'Mail' application problem?

Hi is anyone using Mac Mail? Having recently got a BT broadband account I was luxuriating in speedy Emails etc. to find today that I cannot access my eircom.net email account anymore. Support at eircom say the problem is with the 'Mail' setup and not with their pop server - mail1.@eircom.net nor my password.
Anyone experienced anything like this lately and can offer help?

The server is mail1.eircom.net, not mail1.@eircom.net

However, since you are with BT, you will need to get BTs outgoing mail server. So, your pop3 server should be mail1.eircom.net, but the smtp one needs to be whatever BTs is. Best to give them a buzz as I'm not sure what their address for it is.

Thanks for that Chris. Still no joy but will follow up with BT.

I recently had an eircom issue like this. They have switched their email pop3 gateway. Check out the eircom broadband website. They moved all existing customers from the mail1.eircom.net
server to a new webmail.eircom.net server. the pop3 has the same uri as the http site.
