Based on what minister for sport, Martin Cullen has said recently about targeting specific sports in which we should aim for medals do you think that badminton could be one of those sports?

With Evans and Magee being quite young there is centainly something there to work with?

I'm just curios to hear peoples opinions now that the start of the new badminton season is looming:)

Yea i would like to see more funding for coaching courses ie Level one etc for "grass roots" and also for the likes of chloe and scott they currently train in sweden as there are players that would challenge them there and that would continue their development. I've heard they are going to start training in denmark and chloes younger brothers are looking promising too, Sam is aimin for the 2012 olympics.
The olympics i think have really helped promote the game in ireland its a shame that more of it wasnt shown on tv,
I had to rely on bbc interactive channels which i was fortunate enough to see chloes match live.
Fingers crossed for funding although i think it is unlikey :(
