good course nice lecturers. first year is 15hours a week plus 3 hours tutorials. .classes are Marketing theory, Communications, social science, Quantitative methods, accounting,Marketing information systems and then whatever option you choose(german/french/irish politics)

about 60%girls. everyone is sound. during your induction week go to the classes where where you learn peoples names hobbys etc. seems dorkish but is good if your a bit shy or nervous about meeting new people.
other than that, do everything in freshers week. help out with the s.u. and have fun.

p.s. shine is overrated and jolt will save your life:D:D

Ok thanks for the offer, heres a few q's...thanks a mill:)

Do we go on field trips...if so how many each year.?

whats the atmosphere like, can we chat amongst ourselves and all?

Are we in at the same time each morning...if you would post your timetable (i know this years wont be the same) so i can get a feel for when i would be expected to be going in at what time intervals, i'd appreciate it.?

what sort of assignements do we get...or homework?

Do we have to do presentations in front of the class?

Are the exams hard, or just "your own opinion answers"..?

Is there a few a****** in the class seeing as it is marketing?

    Will i need a laptop.?

Are classes always in the same classroom?

Will we be intergrated with other courses for the most part.

    How many do the ERASMUS?

WHATS THE DROP OUT RATE LIKE AS OF THE FIRST YEAR?

    Thanks, i appreciate your help.:):):):):)

Hi, I just did my first year of marketing. It is a great course, it is tough going at some times. The hours are longer then some of the other business related courses it DIT. There is alot of project work, with presentations, group work etc. They all are part of DIT's continous assessment policy. The continous assessment is great as you feel less pressured in the summer exams. There are two different class groups, so classes are quite small compared to those in other colleges which is quite good. There was mainly lads in my class. Though everyone has their own group of friends. Make sure you are there for the first day of orientation and any of the group workshops in orientation week as that is when people develope their main friendships. If you have any further questions feel free to give me a buzz
