Advise on new 1000 euro laptop

    Lokking for advise on a new laptop purchase.

    Budget: 1000 Euro max.

    Intended use: Business use in home office environment, Office 2007 friendly (doesnt have to come with it for the price) ie. Not a slow dog...
    Wifi for moving around the house...DVD rom for software installs but not nesseceraly DVD writer. No need for BlueRay player etc.

    Mobility: Will travel with it but not too concerned about size as long as it is portable. Performance is more important.

    Warranty: Would probably like at least a 2 year waranty for piece of mind.

    Overall speed and performance more important than gimmiks.

    1000 is probably over kill for the usage you mention. You could spend 570 incl Vat and delivery on a Dell vostro 1510, it has a 15.4" screen, and has a slim form factor, so it'd be a nice compromise between nice screen size and weight.
