Currently trying to decide on which elective to take and I was wondering if anyone who has taken either of these two modules could chime in with their opinion on them?

I don't think I tried psychology, but I did that film course way back in my first semester. It was very interesting and well put together, though the standard of assessment was pretty high, I found, or else I just wasn't very good at it!

Perspectives on Film is a great course, if you enjoy films of all kinds you'll enjoy the course. There's two 500 word film reviews and a final exam. It's not a walk in the park though.
