Barryscourt Castle - Free entry

Barryscourt Castle in Carrigtwohil Cork is Free at the moment. I dont know if this is a permanent thing or not but it seems to be. They give a 45 minute guided tour. Went there today -it was very good. Cheap day out!!:D

A friend of mine was there about a month ago and it was free then too. A lot of things are free for heritage week though, its a pity the kids are back at school this week

oh yeah i heard this on the radio. Apparently theres supposed to be a bunch of historical buildings open to the public which aren't normally. I think they said on the radio that it was only for one day though. Forgot about it though.
