Why did you apply for it if you didn't know what it entails?

Either way, it's hard to tell if it's field sales from that ad. I wouldn't be expecting 40k a year, that's probably including bonuses (IF you meet your targets) and it's also probably being very generous. Your basic will probably be half that and it will most likely be very tough to make up 40k.

Thats what I mean. So is it a tele-marketing job? Why describe it as 40k salary. Should it not have said 40k OTE? Methinks if it looks too good to be true......

I personally have a rule when it comes to job searching....

I don't apply to any job that doesn't have a clear job description (even 2 lines can be very clear)...

I don't apply for a job that lists unrealistic salary, it just shows that there's something not forthcoming.

In fact i generally don't apply for a job if there is no salary stated at all, but i will make exceptions based on other criteria.

If it looks to good to be true, then it is.

Yeah I am getting more wary the whole time but regional sales manager is from my hometown and interview location is within site of my house so I'll give it a blast anyway. Need interview practice anyways.

Whenever I have applied for a Job I wait to see what they'll offer rather than brush it off as 'not for me'

In general alot of Job descriptions can be quite non-descriptive ! You cannot sum up day to day activites in a few lines.

If an employer took the same view with your CV I don't think you would be getting many calls at all.
