BTIreland - Wireless fecked since line upgrade

I've recently been upgraded from 3 to 8 mbps and ever since my wireless modem/router has stopped working. I've tried both a Belkin f5d7633-4 and Netgear dg834g without any joy. In both cases the DSL led flickers but cannot finalize syncing.

The annoying thing is that my old zyxel works fine and BT won't give me a new wireless and I'm very reluctant to pay for it in case it's no use either.

Has anyone else experienced similar problems?

have both the same routers & a zyxel 660 modem as well
no problems getting any of the 3 to sync up since the upgrade

try connecting the zyxel, accessing the config pages and check the noise / attenuation levels

could be that the modem is not as affected by lower snr since the upgrade??

    Thanks for the response.

I've looked @ the Diagnostic page and get the following.

    Upstream:
    relative capacity occupation: 61%
    noise margin upstream: 21.0 db
    output power downstream: 19.5 dbm
    attenuation upstream: 11.5 db

    Downstream:
    relative capacity occupation: 78%
    noise margin downstream: 14.5 db
    output power upstream: 9.0 dbm
    attenuation downstream: 18.5 db

though I have no idea of what this means.
    Any further pointers much appreciated.

can i assume this is the modem synced up??

    Downstream:
    relative capacity occupation: 78%
noise margin downstream: 14.5 db <== higher the better
attenuation downstream: 18.5 db <== lower the better

check the belkin (see screenshot below > )
can you get any readings here?

haven't the netgear connected but I think you get the SNR etc from logging in to the router > router status > statistics

(screenie here of the window you should get)

post up the readings from the belkin & netgear if possible
