Dublin airport security queues

Hey, I'm just wondering how bad these are at the moment? I'll be arriving at the airport at 5.15 am or so and need to be at the gate around 6am (I've checked in online). The last few times I was there, the lines were grand and I was through in 5-10 minutes, but I remember about a year ago I was flying to London and the lines were stretching all around the terminal! I don't want to miss my plane but I also don't want to be getting up any earlier than I have to since it'll be a very long day..... any advice?

My wife went to London this morning flying at 11.15 and said there was no queue. Dunno what it would be like that early in the morning. It maybe a little busier with commuters?

Last few times I've gone through queues haven't been over long. Your milege may vary, however.

Be sure to check the different security areas before you join the queue.

Very early in the morning, the ones down by the American check in gates can be busier than the ones by the Aer Lingus check in desk...

So it's worth checking out both areas!

That time in the morning ( esp if it's a Monday ) it's pretty busy, it's much quieter around 8-9 because then all the early flights have gone.

However even at it's busiest I have never waited more than 20 mins at DUB.

I tend to always use the queue over to the left hand side , but I have no idea if the other one is busier , just habit TBH

I don't envy you I hate the early flights, the only good thing is you almost certainly will not be delayed at that time, although you may be queuing for a while to take off.
