Have any of you heard of a Brno Model 4? Hard to tell the age but is definitely more than 10 years old.
This gun looks more like a target gun than a sporter & is a single shot.
Were they any good? Accurate? Enjoyable to shoot? Any info would be great.
    Thanks

Not sure but think they were made around the 50's very heavy gun over 10lb unscoped. lovely trigger and very accurate. fired one in states making around $550 for a nice clean one over there .heres some photos, hope this helps .

    hi,

I think that this is what you have described

Geoff Cooney in Wilkinstown has a couple, single shot target rifle, heavyweight!

That could be the same action & barrell. The example I have been offered is in a sporter stock though. The guy who owned it (now sadly deceased) loved to customise his guns to his own taste so the stock may not be original.
Poor man, his attempt to do some engraving on his AYA boxlock was enough to make a goat puke!
If the rain holds off for a little while I am taking the Brno out for a trial run. I am not all that optimistic though, the trigger feels very very heavy.
