You may not be happy with some of the shots, but they obviously are if they are showing them off. If it was my shot, I would be asking her to take it down, or more importantly crediting it to you.

Just email and let her know. Probably just a mistake on her part, she has a bunch of shots from both yourself and the other photographer. Its in no-ones interest to have any misrepresentation here as regards who shot what.

You did a wedding for €200 and gave them 250 images on CD? You're very generous, to say the very least.

As for the other photographer using your image, I'd notify the website admin and let them know that the image is yours and that they are in breach of copyright.

I would just politely point out the mistake & leave it at that. Put it behind you as experience.

Simply they either take down or credit (if credit is acceptable to you). Its probably just a mistake. Your contract did specify personal use so you have all four legs to stand on (well two anyway). Its nasty though and i hope it works out for you.

If they refuse to do a takedown or credit, then i'd make noises with the web admin. It would be a pity though if it came to that but sounds like the couple were a bit grumpy about the whole thing (god love em starting life together - ah may have just been the pressure of the day in question).

Out of curiousity would you share the link - a PM if you don't want a general post. Pure curiousity. No problems if you'd rather not.

    Regards.

I try to be pleasant to all. I even have a niceness clause in the contract where I agree under all circumstances to be nice to all guests.

There was no contract signed when I came around. So you were being nice for free?

Having only met you for a short time I still could not imagine you being anytghing but nice to people anyway. Weddings are stressful at anytime but worse for those who are in the spotlight. I am guessing he had issues & it wasn't to do with you.

I have done a couple of wedding for friends a long time ago on film. I found it really stressful & could not imagine doing it for a living.

Tough call, but in future if you get anybody that is anti-camera (I have had a few) I stick the 70-200 on the camera and shoot from a distance and without flash and that way they dont know when you take a shot and are more relaxed. Also in Photoshop embed your copyright in the file info of all the shots you release and notify the web admin as Paul said above. At the end of the day chalk it up to experience :)

    amen.. but you need proof.

I've had a similar situation a few years back with an article I wrote. It was on one website. After it I recieved nothing but crap from them so I asked for it to be removed.. they removed my name only. I explained how they were in breach of copyright but they didn't give a toss and there's not much I could do. After all what proof had I that it was my article... except that I'd had it pubished somewhere else. Of course then said bellend states that I nicked it from their site.

I'm not saying that they will be this nasty but just be ready for tossers
