Yay another G36 thread I hear you say.

Well just a really small thing I need your help with lads.
I've got the gearbox from my JG G36 open hear in front of me
and cant for the life of me work out where the spring for the trigger mech is supposed to go:confused:
Cant seem to find a proper answer anywhere on the net.

I seem to remember vtec mentioning the trigger mech on here not too long ago.

Any help would be most welcome thanks

EDIT: here are pics of said items

K, this is gonna be difficult to explain, you said you've already got it but I'll put it here anyway for future reference.

There are two bits sticking out of the spring, one short, one long.

The short one goes into a notch in the gearbox, just above and to the right of the two holes the trigger mech sits into.
The longer side hooks around the trigger itself to keep it pushed back.

Normally what I do is put the spring into the gearbox first, leaving the centre of it lined up over the right-most of the two holes where the trigger mech sits into, then slot the entire trigger mech down over the spring and into the two holes.

    Cheers KD ,

    I did get it eventually

But it's nice to know there is an easier way to do it

    Thanks

take the motor and place it under the gearbox while you do it, since its a magnet it helps to hold the trigger and spring into place, some of them arnt magnetic though.,

I struggled with it too, even the second time I did it, I'd forgotten where exactly the short part of the spring was supposed to go into. And it does jump out very easily. Can't remember my re-assembly strategy though.

    Handy tip, KD - that's a keeper!
