    Trophy hunting/ buck fever.

I was going to say that too but I don't know, it certainly wont improve a species but does it reduce numbers and make it tougher to manage.

Habitat is where my money is at and farming has changed a lot in the last century

    Yup... Shinobi has the answer!

    Bambi!!

"Disney's icon animated feature was a masterpiece of ant-hunting propaganda. The adorable characters are the triumph on emotional fantasy over reality. Rereleased repeatedly since 1942, Bambi helped create irrational beliefs among many urban children, who beame voting adults, with environmentally damaging results"

    ............ Guns 'n' ammo's words, not mine!

Wow, isnt that amazing that the film people watched when they were children kind of planted the seed in their heads and it grew into this irrational thought, i never thought i saw bambi myself as a child, its more obvious now that i didnt haha!!:D

Y'know, even as a shooter, I find it hard to even look at "Gun'n'ammo" without feeling somewhat... amused. In an elitist bastard way, you understand.
I mean seriously. Bambi? That is the worst thing to happen to game management in the 20th century? Not the dust bowl years? Not global warming and climate change? Not mass-manufactured foodstuff and factory-reared livestock? Not GM foodstuffs or prion diseases? Not industrial pollution or the rapid increase in farm size and the attendant rise in intensive farming practises? Not lawyers and the massive rise in the number of daft lawsuits?

Pffft. Bambi. Next you'll be telling me that Herbie was a Hitler apologist and a holocaust denier.

Voltz-wagen... hey, isn't that "car of the people"? MY GOD! HERBIE WAS A NAZI!!!
How ironic that I should have chosen that one example out of all those examples I could have chosen. Woe betide my poor analogy selection skills!
