Just when Nathan was taken by Bennett + the Haitian, now the Haitian is right beside Nathan, and then nathan "up up and away" flies off

I thought the Haitian can suppress powers as well as mess with memory?

    or am I missing something?

Maybe he has to make a conscious effort to supress somebody's power:confused:

not sure if you've seen the rest of the series so I'm going to spoiler tag this , dont read if you havent seen up to date as it may spoil a few things
the haitian is working for nathan's mother - he leads claire to her when he helps her hide from bennett. the question shoul dbe why doesnt bennett call him on his failure to dampen nathan's flying.... does bennett know about nathans mother and is he in on the deal?

Still related to season 1: How close does the Haitian have to be to block someone's power?

    My question is this:
Was he close enough to prevent Ted from going nuclear in the Bennetts' house?

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

    another possibility
Nathan's ability was given to him by a formula, so he could be immune from the Hatian's ability

It's not really said. The whole thing of Nathan flying off could be easily explained that way though.

Although he can suppress other people's powers, he probably wasn't close enough to Sprague before Sprague started going nuclear. So if he wanted to get close enough, he'd basically have to make his way through a small atomic blast before getting close enough to stop Ted. If he wasn't dead by the time he reached Ted, he'd probably die milliseconds after. :P Which is why Claire had to save the day.

Thought so, but I could swear I've seen him block powers from closer ranges.
    Anwyay:
Why did future Hiro spend so much time tryign to work out when to go back in time when he could just go back and kill Sylar before all this started? Or Ted Sprague??!
Yeah, I know, there's have been no storyline, but it's a point!

Ah yeah... Why didn't the T1000 go back and kill Sarah Connor in her infancy? Whatevs!

This has been discussed to death, hasnt it? I guess it did deserve its own thread though.

    Quite plausible.
He;s blocked Peter's powers in the past but then we have no evidence that Peter's ability was also engineered.

Computational limitations of Time Travel? Maybe you can only go back so far. *shrugs*

They broke this possibility in the TV series though: before the first episode a Resistance Terminator was sent back to the start of the century to fabricate a time machine in the vault of a bank as it was being founded. But at the same time the producers have categorically stated the Sarah Connor Chronicles are not Movie-Canon.

Well it's kinda implied that Nathan was the only Petrelli not born with the genetic code, but I guess yer right, it hasn't been stated exactly that Peter's ability is natural....

Oh, I meant that as a rhetorical buzz given the whole..... you get me. :)
