Have you played Company of Heroes? If not then go no further. Buy it and play it immediately.

My only beef with coh is situations when a tiger or panther shoots a sherman and the shell just bounces off, sometimes even twice in a row ! Really annoying !
Or when you're chasing an injured tank with a rocket team, stop to take aim and fire, the rocket ends up hitting the ground a foot away

Same can be said for a tank with a snipet of red health left, shells bouncing off it left right and center, or shells not even hitting the tank as it slowly reverses away with a damaged engine !! Come on like !

Wait, you're annoyed because shots sometimes miss? That's a bit unrealistic :pac:

These are supposed to be trained infantry men, shooting a tank crawling away with a damaged engine, how hard could it be to not hit the ground a foot in front of you ? :pac:

Just takes away from the enjoyment of the game for me when shells bounce off tanks they really shouldn't be bouncing off !

Empires: Dawn of the modern world! Brilliant brilliant brilliant. Bit aged now but still... brilliant! Also has a medieval element but you can set it to just WW1-WW2 or just WW2 if you wanna. Id reccomend it!

Seems realistic insofar as it goes. I dislike the whole 'health bar' concept for vehicles anyway, and prefer the 'It either penetrated, or it didn't' system as demonstrated by Close Combat 2 or Combat Mission as that's what happens in real life. No matter how many times you whack the front of a tank at a certain angle, it'll either drastically affect the tank, or it'll do nothing. The whole 'gradual depletion' idea is a really lousy concept.

You'd be surprised. Missing more often than hitting is far more realistic.

Sudden Strike is a WWII RTS, but I'm not sure how good it is.

    NTM

Oh sudden strike 3 is a very good game also op

Seems realistic in so far as it goes.

Combine that with shells of a Tiger against a Sherman and you have "Wtf ?!" central.

Sudden strike 3 is an utter shambles of a game I wouldn't even waste my time downloading it let alone even buying it !. Sudden strike 2 and its previous games are miles better than SS3 and really give you that "Sh1t if I lose this tank i can't get anywhere" feeling. I'd recommend it over any other WW2 RTS I've played.
