Okay so the feet on my computer mouse fell off

now I could order some more but come on that sounds needlessly commercial.

Who has some ideas as to what I can use to restore that smooth glide to my mouse? right now Im a little jumpy from the extra friction. Not good for playing Sniper :(

Spray some polish on the sticky residue....leave it for a couple of minutes and then wipe it off and the residue will come off with it and you mouse with be smooth again :)

ah no thats the first thing I did. but the thing is the actual mouse itself is causing odd levels of friction on my tabletop here. I was thinking electric tape but I have none.

Electrical tape will wear down / peel off and leave a lot of sticky stuff behind.

This thread would have been epic had it been in Animals and Pet Issues. Oh well..

Your mice has feet? Mine doesn't have feet. Maybe I should get some kind of prosthetic for it or something. I hope the state can cover it. ;)

What model mouse do you have, any pics of the damage?

just an HP brand laptop mouse. nothing spectacular. just the pads have fallen off through wear and wear. The last one went purely from being worn down from gliding across the desk all year. Tried the wireless mouse on the office machine as an alternative but its resolution is absolutely crap and unusable.

    God damn technology for ya!

People should stay with the conventional mouse, the move freely all on their own :D
