Oh Dear! Cher to play Catwoman?

Ehh, I thought this might be a humorous article (and it is the telegraph) but I couldn't find any hint of it:

Ok, not that I have a problem with an older catwoman, but Cher! Please, the woman has a face that will scare more people than the joker. I really hope this is not the case and that Nolan will not risk messing up the trilogy, it would be the worst casting in movie history in my opinion.

EDIT: The only things that point to this being bullplop are that Nolan said he wants to tackle new villains in future installments, and I doubt he has said he will start directing next year without a script first.

Haha, this has to be horsesh1t. The man's not that stupid. By the way I'll have to disagree with the worst casting decision in history, simply have a look at the whole cast of Batman and Robin. And Cry.

Yeah, I always thought Patrick Stewart or Ben Kinglsey would have been a good mr.freeze. Not just cuz of the baldiness, but they can ACT and have thosr resonant voices. But then, B+R wasn't about acting I guess.

I'm 99% sure its bullplop, but it would be terrible if Nolan were even considering it. I feel sorry for Christian Bale if he has to have Cher in her "Turn back time" outfit trying to be sexy with him.

"Is reported to be" is their lazy disclaimer that nobody should expect any factual content in the article whatsoever.

People need to cop on and get the point that Nolan hasn't even said he'll be doing another batman, it's only been a few weeks since the dark knight came out don't expect any actual factual news for at least a year or two.

Enough with the dark knight threads tbh, I loved it but its getting a bit much. We all know there'll be a hundred different rumours from now until whenever the next film is made...

Yeah Nolan has not said he will do another yet. If Nolan picked Cher(which I cannot imagine) then she will give a fantastic performance because thats what he gets from all his actors.

I wish these rumours would just go away, it's getting embarrassing at this stage. As off this moment, there is no third Batman movie in this franchise. It doesn't exist, on any level, least of all the casting. I mean for goodness sake, who casts before you even have a script (especially for a movie like this)?

IF they really felt they had a good enough script to incorporate the Catwoman character (Which I don't really see happening but anyway) I think I'd like to see someone like Emily Blunt playing her. She's a great actress and those eyes would be amazing underneath the Catwoman mask

You got me with Katie Holmes, but Neeson played his role superbly imo.
Actually just wondering, did Holmes want the part again, because I would love to think she was not considered for it, would make me an even greater fan of Nolan.
