Just putting it out there, who'll win the last grand slam of the year? Will Federer regain his title?Or will Nadal finally triumph on the hard courts? And what about the ladies? That's totally open!Isn't it?

I'm gonna pick Nadal for the mens and Safina for the womens.

I don't expect Federer to get to the final. Won't be a shock if he does, but I'm expecting an early exit for him. Would be cool to see him come back big time and take the title though.

The womens seems to be quite open. Venus should do well. Serena will probably get to the later stages too. I picked Safina but there's plenty of players there who could beat her.

It's really wide open this year. I wouldn't be surprised if Murray made a run, but he'll be hard pressed to beat Nadal. I really don't know what to expect with Federer, did his Olympics doubles win give him confidence? I don't know. I also have a funny feeling Djokovic won't do too well.

Despite being a Nadal fan I dont think this will be his year for the US Open. I dont think even he can out run fatigue and it will eventually catch up on him. He pushes his body the harder than anyone else on the tour and you could see it in the first match yesterday. Hopefully he proves me wrong but either way I am sure he will give a good account of himself this year.

I think Federer will win it, despite everything that happened this year the guy is still a class act and you dont loose that sort of skill, he hasn't lost his hunger either we could see that in thr olympics doubles and I cant see him ending the year without a major.

Anyway I'll be happy as long as Murray doesn't win.

The womens is wide open and dont know who will win that.
