Play.com took my money?

    Bought a 3v card last week for 50 euro. Spent half of it. So i checked my balance and I see that 12 euro was taken on a transaction from play.com. All it says is PLAY PAYMENTS JERSEY GB. I certainly didnt buy anything. The hell?!

    What did you spent the "half of it" on? It might have been on something that was processed through the Play.com website. Also, the transaction doesnt actually say Play.com so could you be mixing it up with another vendor maybe? If not then it looks like someone may have used your 3V card to buy something without your knowledge...

    Its definately play.com. Because theres another transaction for 2 euro saying PLAY.COM JERSEY GB. Half was spent on t shirts from the us. Not from play.
    I was reading about play.com taking money form your account whenever you add a new card, which is a joke. I'd rather never use it again than have that happen.

    No one here can answer what has happened. You'll need to contact 3V to find out what merchant put through the charge, then possibly contact that merchant to find out what it was for.

    Well Ive contacted play with no response,same with 3v.
    And today I received an email from play saying "your order has been dispatched:Bill hicks dvd"...which I ordered and received last year.
    If its already dispatched i guess there's nothing i can do now.

    There is plenty you can do if you were incorrectly charged. Keep chasing up Play.com and 3 about it...

    Plenty you can do. Look at your order history and get the order number from the actual DVD you ordered 2 years ago. Contact Play, give them this information, and ask why they have charged you and re-sent this DVD, as you didn't re-order it? Tell them to reverse the payment immediately or you'll report them to the bank for fraudulent use of your card.

    Tell them you'll return the DVD to them if and when it arrives, but only if they give you a free-post address, or if they refund the cost of posting it, as you should not be out of pocket for their fcuk up.
