Testing Radio Remote

I was testing my radio remote yesterday in the garden. Here's a couple of images I captured. I had to bump up the ISO on some of them as the light was fading fast.

The camera was positioned about 2 metres from the feeder. Even at 1/500 shutter speed, I still couldn't stop the wings but I couldn't push the ISO any further.

I had to cheat a little by putting cellotape over the other hole in the feeder to 'persuade' the birds to use the one that the camera was pointing at.

I fixed a wireless spy camera to the viewfinder transmitting to my laptop so I could see when the bird was in the frame and used a radio remote to trigger the shutter.

I like the second and last ones.

I am making a remote for my canon this week. Have the parts so only need to find a small suitable box to put them in!

Personally, I prefer boxes from Tic-Tac sweets. My photo-flash release is in one and works great.
