If for one week it takes the idiots out of a good movie then I am all for it.

    Behold the trailer

Now maybe there's some kind of subliminal comedy on the level of Mel Brooks genius that we're just not appreciating now but we will in 10 years time.

Or maybe its just a fúcking disgrace to the eyes and ears.

I think the Charter will be getting another addition soon :)

I am of the opinion that this shouldn't even get a thread of its own, because every time someone clicks on that YouTube video, or idly goes to the official film site, some marketeer f*cktard is watching the stats & using that to justify another movie (In fact, there already is apparently - "Sci Fi Movie").

People go on about the constant spew of remakes & "reboots" happening at the moment in Hollywood, but the "XYZ movie" so-called comedies are the final proof that mainstream Hollywood is creatively bankrupt.

But hey, it was clearly made for next-to nothing & will reap millions, so where's the point getting hot and bothered about it; true film-lovers just get pilloried as being ivory tower snobs (as usual). The sad thing is that I know people who would love this kind of movie, find it hilarious and they're mostly good, otherwise intelligent people.

What a bad looking film. These have descended into lunacy over the last few years. Glad I haven't seen any of the so called Movies.

Not sure why there is so little disaster parody in a trailer for a parody of disaster movies called Disaster Movie.

2 and 1/2 years working in Xtra-Vision has confirmed to me that the majority of humans are hollow headed sheep that are deathly afraid of movies with twists, sub-plots, Character development, sub-titles and in the case of Disaster Movie and similar films a Plot/storyline at all.

In my last year there, we had to put a big sticker saying 'SUBTITLED' on the front of the box of sub-titled movies, as 95% of people came back asking to change it. I mean Pans Labyrinth ffs, I would ask people to give it a chance but they could not process my suggestion, these sheep would come out with sayings like "If I wanted to read, I'd buy a book".

The worst thing overall is that these sheep dont even like these movies, I usually asked customers for their post-mortem to see if they actually enjoyed them but there was rarely a time when this was the case.

As long as these sheep make up the majority of the populous then we will be subjected to this crapola long into the future. I will stay happy in the knowledge that as long as I like David Lynch movies I will hold onto my sanity (Ironic?), let the sheep have their drone packed, mind numbing movies as its just themselves they're hurting.

That was actually painful to watch. Were there any jokes in it all or just idiotic references to other films?

    Amen.

I started working in a video shop a few months ago and everytime someone comes up and rents Meet the Spartans or the Hottie and the Nottie, everytime someone comes back with a subtitled movie (expecting a refund like its some sort of disaster), everytime someone grimaces when I tell them Hidden is a great film but its in French (followed by a prompt change of DVD), you really do begin to understand how this kind of stuff is still being made.

There is still a market out there for good film - I'm delighted at how many times Diving Bell and the Butterfly and Perseopolis have been rented out recently - but it really is a shame that some people are willing to except whatever crap is thrown out.

Oh and for anyones who interested, Sports Movie is apparently coming straight to DVD soon. :(

What got my goat was regular customers who asked me to recommend a good film, so I would give my recommendation and more often then not it would be thrown back at me the next day, so the devious beast that dwells in my ear canals would recommend 'Happiness' or 'Palindromes' to them the next time so they would'nt ask again.(I like those films by the by)

These customers are worse then the yobbos that went straight for the likes of 'Date Movie' and 'Never Back Down' as they know that you know what films are decent and what are pants but they are looking for some kind of self-reassurance to lift themselves out of the embarrassment of renting 'Epic Movie' as thats the movie they came in to get.

I'm not sure if the above was specific to where I worked or if its a wider problem.
