First all folks I did do a google search and look for old threads so I'm not being lazy. I seek the knowledge of the experts here....

Got a 40' HDTV today and hooked up the XBOX360, it looks fantastic. But I do know I had to use a special cable though I don't know its name.

I then hooked up the Wii and while it's good it's not a fantastic picture. I don't think the Wii has HD capabilites but is there a better cable I can buy to improve picture quality on a HDTV?

Before this I used a 15' portable for the Wii but on a 40' screen, any problems can be seen.
The game was Godfather on the Wii btw.

If you're using the cable that came with the Wii, then you really need to buy a component cable... It'll still look like dog mank on a 40" screen mind you, but will be a bit better.

The Wii is only capable of outputting at a maximum of 480p, while the PS3 and 360 can handle proper hi-def resolutions (720p and 1080p)
