    HI,
    relatively new to this so this topic prob been analysed to death....
    any views on Parship.ie? never heard of til today, they do personality test thingy... any positive experiences? tried "maybe friends" and gave up due to the "all fine on paper, zero social skills in reality" factor. so thought the personality testing may not b such a bad idea?

    Hey Wex, indeed it has been talked to death but to put it in short terms, its great fun and can get you places. I used plentyoffish myself and would highly recommend it as long as you keep your head on your shoulders! After a few fun dates with lovely girls, I met a brilliant girl and happy as larry now! Go for it, what have you to loose!!!!

    The only bad point that has to be said about dating sites is that girls get TONS of mails a day. Sites like plentyoffish have more male members than female.

    I know someone who used it and i actually saw with my own eyes as she logged in there were tons and tons of mails and so many "im" windows popping up.

    but in fairness, is that any different in life? guys are the chasers women are the choosers.

    It is funny that you look at that way.
    I would have said the person who choses to chase made the decision.

    Personality testing just sounds like bs to me.
    You have to wade through the dross to find a gem. As in any other setting.

    Havent heard of it but my only advice is to be careful. YOu will get a lot of chancers, a lot of guys just looking for a shag or to take advantage of those of us that are lonely, but likewise you also get a lot of genuine nice guys just looking for the same thing you are .

    Its up to you to be savvy enough to distinguish between them.

    One recomendation I received on this is that if you register on one of the sites you have to pay for it means that most of the people are genuine(ish!)

    Or they see it as a decent investment due to high usage, as they are constantly looking for leads to hook ups.

    Oh guys, at least take the advice of someone who has tried the freebie site, it is a bit of a chase but all the langers get filtered out quickly by the girls unless thats what they are looking for. Give plentyoffish a try and make the decision yourself but write a nice honest profile and you will get good replies and some bad and you can choose from there.
