    I agree.
    But watch the people flock to the seal's cause if one is proposed. People who know nothing about estuary ecology I should add.
    (the same people who's more extreme colleagues released the "poor mink in captivity" all those years ago, and Ireland's freshwater fish are still paying dearly for that publicity coup/act of vandalism)

    A limited cull leaves the seals still protected, but in more reasonable numbers considering the hammering the salmon get from them.
