Doing this before I heard any offical result.

For me this is a one horse race , Lomachenko ( UKR ), is the only possible winner of The Best Boxer Award . He was the top class fighter of the games and a country mile ahead of anyone. He had everything and showen his skill throughout the tournament.
Here my top five (let the arguements begin :D)

    1. LOMACHENKO ( UKR )
    2. SARSEKBAYEV ( KAZ )
    3. ERKHBAT ( MGL )
    4. DIAZ ( DOM )
    5. JONGJOHOR (THA )

ok 4 and 5 very tight , And if Egan had got the GOLD , I would have him in 4th maybe 3rd.

I thought Erkhbat was the best boxer on display.
He hammered everyone he fought .
    Lightning quick .

for me the best boxer was the italian who won the super heavyweight contest , he managed to dispell the myth that a chineese fighter cant loose in the final while he was at it

Really hmm, Your opinion and your entitled to it. But for me Shiming only turned up or performed in one fight , Sadly it was against Barnes , The final was stopped due to injury early . So i cannot have him in my top 5 , Having say that he will probably get the award (Home town etc ) and that would be the biggest rip off of the games.IMO

Lomachenko was class, as was the Thai bantamweight. I was also
impressed by Alexis Vastine in the 64 kg division. I thought Diaz was superb in the final V the Thai (64 kg).

    Anyone get to see Tischenko?

He was the only top dog I never saw and I was too
tired to watch his final this morning. It was on too early!

SARSEKBAYEV in the 69 kg was pretty special too

He fought a very good fight against a bigger and stronger Sow of France in the Final, Got his tactics and game plan spot on, Was very crisp and clean, deal with a longer reach very well . First boxer to win two golds moving up in weights. As i said in my OP it was tight for 4th and 5th in my list , I was picking two fighters out of three DIAZ , JONGJOHOR AND HIM.

First boxer of the current crop to move up and win golds. I do remember Papp from Hungary doing it in the 50's and Angel Hererra from Cuba in 76' and 80' going from 57-60 and winning

Actually, Papp moved down in weight!

Another vote for LOMACHENKO, i think he was the best boxer by far. I think he'll do very well if he goes pro.

I have to say Lomachenko shined in every fight and was true class - from the first fight to the last - and he fought all the best fighters in the division.

I saw Tishenko's fights and alright he again showed class but imo is too small for the weight and if possible would be better off dropping down.

I thought Qurbonov let me down - had money of the guy to win it and again he lost his head a for DQ'd - idiot.

Again I put my £25 free bet from Paddy Power on Zou and he wasnt great at all with the exception of a single fight - I thought he struggled through a few.

Too small? He won the GOLD, so I can only assume he's just right at the weight.
Maybe he could drop to 57, but maybe that's simply too much and would leave him weak. It might be a case of Tischenko being between weights. A big feather, but not a big lightweight if you know what I mean. In the pro's he would be a super feather!
