My Cats are being bothered !

I have two cats aged 4 years, one tom and one female (bro and sis)
    Both have been neutered.

    They are outdoor cats.

My problem is simply this, for the last while another cat has been hanging around our house. Looking at the size of this cat it is obviously another tom.

There have been several scraps between our tom and this unwelcome visitor. I have observed our female simply turn tail and run when approached. On one occasion, I noticed our tom turn and hide also after lots of squaring up and growling.

This other cat eats the food if our cats aren't around. If our cats are eating, this little fecker will hover a few yards away and observe. This cat has also taken over one of the kennels that we have for our lads. I have caught him in there several times. Our lads dont use it now.

Also, this cat doesnt seem to be too afraid of me !! I will shout at it or spray water from the hose to move it on; it will run but always only to a safe distance and then sit there and stare me down.

I would love to know if there is something I can do to stop this cat from visiting. Any ideas or do I just let the cats sort it out themselves?

Stop leaving food out side and take your cats indoors for a week or so.

This stray sounds like it had a similer setup were ever he came from that's way he's trying to take over what he thinks was his in the first place and is not afriad of you.

Try looking up the lost and found adds to see if some one is missing him.

You could also try trapping him and taking him to a shelter the poor thing my think he's in the right place but is probably just lost and confussed.

If you think he's ferrel you can try to trap and neuter him this should calm him down and he might even get on with your own two after all, the main problom is to keep your cats feed in side as you don't know what the other cat may have and pass on.
