Looking for a printer for a new bsuiness where well be processing digital photgraphs and doing passport photo and also doing photo shoots in store and putting them on digital backdrops and that kind of thing.

So i need a printer thats capable of printing professional quality prints but also hopefully something thats flexible in case i want to get into other stuff like printing on transparent or thick paper etc but without breaking the bank either. So what would you recommend that capable of meeting my needs but also good value. It wouldnt need to be capable of doing high volume amount of stuff, the quality and value for money especially when it comes to ink cartridges would probably be more important.

Lastly is the best way to get digital backdrops just to scour the internet and buy the ones you like or is there a good store where i can get a large volume amount for a good price?

If its for processing I would reccomend one of the Mitsubishi dye sub printers but you will not get a printer that will do pro prints and thick board. Express Digital is probably the best software for doing green screen work to a tight timeline.

Any of the stock sites will have what you are looking for.

    Cheers Borderfox,

Looks like ill need 2 printers, one for the smaller sizes and 1 for 8x10 and 8x12 which is fine. I was wondering with the smaller one that does several sizes do you you need to keep swaping rolls for different sizes or what?

Also what about pictures for sizes around A3 or A2 size, any ideas of what type of printers to use for that. Any thanks for your help so far, ill be going to Dublin on Aug 2nd for that Photography Exhibition just want to have an idea of what i should be looking for spec and price wise beforehand.
