Took these today. It was raining when I left the house but had stopped when I got to the graveyard. :( I think some heavy rain in the picture would improve them, especially the second one.
Any C&C appreciated as I spent a good while there and these were the best I came up with and if they are bad then some tips would be appreciated.

Nice colour scheme and tonality. Especially with the first picture.
The sky in the second one doesn't look right and is really disturbing. but it is only my opinion.

I love the clouds in the second one.

That sky is the actual sky that came off the camera!! Well obviously it's processed a little with the rest of the image but what I mean is that it was lashing 5 mins before hand and the sky was very dark.

What do you mean by disturbing? I was hoping for a really dark sky to go with the graveyard scene and I thought this worked. Maybe not.

The shine on the leaves at the top right on the first one is distracting me a bit, but other than that I like them.

#1 I would crop the left side off as the lighter trunk there draws the eye out of the image.

#2 Looks a bit over processed. I think it would be better as a Mono with a lot of contrast.

I really like the second one. it could be a still out of a movie just before crows enter and start making creepy sounds :)

Nice shots, very atmospheric imo. Nice colours and theme.

#1: I like it, but would agree with maybe a tighter crop on the left. I can see that you are trying to frame the tombstone in the background and place it in the center of the shot to give it the most attention, but i think that its clearly the main subject in the shot, and cropping might improve the shot. The crop would also agree with the rule of thirds.

One thing i noticed was the leaves in the top right corner. I can see what u are tyring to do there, but they are a bit distracting for me because of the reflection off them and being so close to the main tombstone in center.

    Overall i like it though.

#2: Dispite what others said, i love the clouds in the background, really ominous looking. And the tones in the shot really add to the dark atmosphere. Nicely composed with the church in the back and the tombstones off angles. Great shot.

One thing i did notice is that the trees are very overprocessed. On my screen i can really see a lot of overprocessing which takes away from a really nice image.

Id like to hear what you think of my comments and if they help at all. Obviously im a beginner, but i think that constructive criticism is the best thing. I posted shots last week and got great reviews from people, which is GREAT, but not much actual advice or anything which i think might help more.

By disturbing, I meant that it makes me feel that they have been burned by hand almost by accident, but unhappy accident. Even the tops of the treas look darker.
I do appreciate both pictures, tonality and processing, not to mention dedication to go out in rain. However the second picture makes me think why it had been processed that way and by using which tools.

Great treatment, reminds me of Fulci movies - expect to se some zombies in there!!

Thanks for all the comments. Really appreciate both good and bad.

Regarding the trees, both photos are actually two shots blended together using LR Enfuse. I found after blending them that the trees didn't actually look very real especially the leaves :(

I'm gonna head bacak again when it's raining to see if I can get anything better. Shouldn't have to wait too long although there is some kind og blue thing up in the sky this morning!!

I really like the second shot, nice job! As said already the shine on the leaves in the first shot take away from it but apart from that it's good :)

OP, they're looking good, but I'd suggest two things - Try them in black and white, and run a levels over them. A solid B&W will aid it more than any desaturated colours!

    Btw, is that Straffan?

Ill give that a go later and see how I get on.

    And yes, it is Straffan!

Love them, might be even more haunting darker or possibly b&w but very impressive!

That's a great graveyard. I can be seen in the cottages down there getting a break from time to time :)

Interesting images, especially the first one.

Heres my 2c OP. I like both shots.

    1) Really nice pic, good contrast. I would prefer to see the left side cropped a bit but you will lose your centre piece if that happens. I also find the flowers in the top right too distracting and adding nothing to the haunting element of the flicks. (Im not saying there is anything wrong with it, i just personally dont feel it fits) Nice depth of field though.

    2) Really like the pic. Very little i would change bar fiddle with the sky a bit.
