    Hello all,

Anybody out there have any idea how long it takes to drive from say, Leixlip to Bray dart station. Peak and off peak please.

I drove from Lucan to Loughlinstown today in just over 25 minutes so add on another 5-8 minutes for Leixlip and another 15 at the other end and you get about 45 minutes.
I would imagine it's another 25-30 minutes at peak time.
Hard to judge the return journey in the evening back to Leixlip.

Ill be starting from Kinnegad( Co Westmeath ) so it wouldnt make sence to get the train. I know it takes 23 - 30 mins to get from kinnegad to leixlip, so I was just wondering how long it would take to get from Leixlip to bray.

Kinnegad to Bray? Dang, that's a long old commute to make.

Just to parrot what the others have said, the train is best, especially since there is a morning service direct to Bray (skipping some DART stops to the best of my memory) Also, since you'd be driving, Leixlip Louisa Bridge station has been built into a sort of mini park & ride. You'd have to pay for parking, but it could be less hassle for you to train it, since you say you'd be near the Bray DART station.

    Good luck either way.

Its shift work, So some weeks will have a 5 am start, hence the reason I cant get the dart. If it all worked out I would hopefully sell up and move closer. Sure its early days. Just getting a flavour of a car commute. Cheers guys.

If it's a 5am start, then you should have a clear run on the M50 down towards Bray. I'm not sure, but it could take you 40-45 mins after passing Leixlip.
